Getting Started with the Auditing and Reporting Module for Secure FTP Server

System Requirements

Server computer running GlobalSCAPE Secure FTP Server version 3.3+.
Either one of the following databases:
- The Secure FTP Server MSDE Database for Auditing and Reporting which is installed as an optional component during the Secure FTP Server installation.
- Your own MS SQL database, configured with the appropriate tables.

You must have a working Internet connection during the trial of the product, as well as to perform the product activation. After activation, an Internet connection is not required to run the software.

Installation and Activation Instructions

If you have not already done so, register and activate Secure FTP Server. See Getting Started With Secure FTP Server.
Start Secure FTP Server Administrator on the server computer and then select a server from the tree on the left side. Log on if prompted.
On the Help menu, click Enter ARM Serial Number and then follow the onscreen instructions. To activate the software, you must be connected to the Internet and have administrator privileges on the server computer. You cannot enter the serial number while remotely administering the server. Press F5 to refresh.
